Washington State Representative Liz Berry (D-36)
State Representative Liz Berry represents Washington’s 36th Legislative District, located in the shadow of the Space Needle. It includes the Seattle neighborhoods of Queen Anne, Magnolia, Interbay, Ballard, Phinney Ridge, Crown Hill, and Greenwood.
Liz serves as Chair of the Labor & Workplace Standards Committee and is a member of the Environment & Energy and Transportation committees, where she is a passionate advocate for working families, combating climate change, and building vital infrastructure that is safe, equitable, and green. She also serves as a member of the Legislative Committee on Economic Development and International Relations, and as an alternate member of the Pacific NW Economic Region Delegate Council, a regional U.S.-Canadian partner organization that works to increase economic competitiveness and protect the natural environment.
Liz previously led the region’s largest civil justice advocacy organization dedicated to standing up for the legal rights of patients, consumers and injured workers. A lifelong champion for women in leadership and reproductive justice, Liz served as president of the National Women’s Political Caucus of Washington and as a board member for Pro-Choice Washington.
Liz earned her B.A. in Communications, Law, Economics, and Government from American University in Washington, DC, and interned abroad for the U.S. Embassy in Brussels. She has continued studies at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, Executive Education.
Nicholas Johnson (Lyft)
Nicholas (Nick) Johnson is a Director of Public Policy West at Lyft, where he leads the engagement of state and local legislators, regulators, public stakeholders and community partners in California, the Pacific Northwest and the Southwest. Nick has 15+ years of experience in various fields including law, risk management and public policy.
Prior to joining Lyft, Nick was a Director of Government Affairs at Target Corporation where he counseled business partners and external stakeholders on legislation regarding employment/labor, data privacy, cybersecurity, and payment technologies, and advocated for Target and the retail industry in California and most of the Western US.
Before joining the corporate world Nick had a solo law practice in Minneapolis, Minnesota with a focus on advising small businesses on contracts, corporate governance and employment law. Nick holds a B.B.A. from the University of Miami and a J.D. from Florida International University College of Law. He lives with his family in Foster City, California. Ramona Prieto (Uber)
Ramona Prieto is the Head of Public Policy and Communications for the Western United States at Uber. Managing the territory team and playing an integral role in helping lead and shape Uber’s policy portfolio; focused on state and local policy work, regulatory engagement, and media relations. Before joining Uber, Ramona led Government Affairs and Policy work at Pacific Gas and Electric Corporation; dedicated to energy policy, stakeholder engagement, and public affairs. She has more than ten years working in politics, government, coalition building, and public affairs.
Ramona holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from California State University Chico, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Copenhagen Business School. She lives in San Francisco with her family.
